I am a United States citizen who took my son to Argentina at age 6 months to rejoin my husband who is not his biological father. Because I was foolish enough to acknowledge my former lover on the birth certificate I was held in contempt although I had Sole Custody of my child. I made it no secret that we were going to Argentina and would not be coming back as I valued the lives of myself and baby and was not legally bound to do so either. Over the years my husband spent $300,000 preventing my boy from being hauled off back to the US. Once my ex even sent of his cronies to Argentina to snatch my boy off the street. They were caught after 3 days in Bolivia and my child was sent back to me in Argentina. Argentine courts issued multiple decrees reaffirming that I had Sole Custody and every right to keep my child in Argentina which I presented to all sites that plastered his face all over the internet with pictures obtained by stalking my family, but they refused to look at facts. Instead I was accused of being vindictive and selfish. In reality I left my ex and reconciled with my husband because the nutjob had beaten me in to a near miscarriage with the child he claimed to deeply love and was the prime suspect in the highly suspicious crib death of my eldest child,a then 2 year old girl.
Finally my husband decided after 12 years that we would leave our children in Argentina and go back to the United States to turn ourselves in(my husband was wanted for obtaining a foreign passport for my son and flying us to Buenos Aires via Mexico City). The same indifferent authorities who had yet to give justice to a murdered baby had a field day trying to make an example out of us. They said all charges would be dropped if I returned my child to the United States but I told them where they could stick that idea and ended in up with a 30 month sentence, served 13 of those months, and promptly went back to Argentina where I am till this very day with my ALIVE 23 year old son. Despite all of this legal drama and he himself adamantly vocalizing that he was NEVER kidnapped or held hostage in any way, he remains on several sites though and we are seriously considering a law suit. I risk my life for the United States in the Gulf War and have been nothing but stabbed in the back by my own nation.

I meant to say my son was 6 weeks old when I left. As soon as I was healed enough to get on a plane and my husband could file a birth certificate ,obtain a passport for the baby, and arrive from Argentina. My son was never there long enough to establish any residency and Bexar County (San Antonio)did not at any time have jurisdiction to decide any matters pertaining to him. They majorly overstepped their boundaries awarding custody retroactively nearly 8 years later and issuing arrest warrants.

Good afternoon,

I came upon your website and your story and it hit me, is this woman talking about me? I am in your exact same situation. Over the years I haven't done much fighting because I've lived in South Korea with my children for the past decade. Because of contempts of court, I am now a felony with a felony warrant issued and my child too is on the National Website for Missing and Exploited Children. She very well doesn't deserve to be just like your children. My daughter is 10 and has lived in Korea since she was 15 months.
I want to keep in touch to see how you are doing. I've sent letters to anyone who will listen. My case too involves a spiteful ex who is set out to hurt me and is hurting his daughter in the process. I hope things work out for you as well as for myself.
Take care and I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Slawson
